Here are some of the topics that often come up for my clients when we work together:
Beliefs about what a career “should” look like
Pressure about making “the right decision”
Analysis paralysis
Comparing yourself with other people
My clients talk about feeling like they’re behind, anxious to take a decision but at the same time unsure what to do.
Feeling either frozen or hyper-busy with stuff that doesn’t make a difference.
They feel stuck.
Maybe you recognise some of these topics in yourself?
In our work together I help you take a step back and look at these things from a different perspective.
I ask questions like:
What do you have in mind when you think about what a career “should” look like?
In what way is that idea serving you (or not)?
How do you want to evaluate your career? And your life?
What would your 80-year-old self say to you?
It might be the first time for you to ever think about these things.
Creating space in our busy lives to pause and reflect on this helps to be more intentional when making decisions about our careers and lives.
So we don't reach a point where we wonder:
"Ops, what happened here? How did I end up in this place, when actually I always wanted to do that thing over there?"
If you want some support to create that space, so you can think things through thoroughly, and with an independent sparring partner you can trust, get in touch!
